Senior-citizen recipients receive major uplift as SASSA announces new amounts and dates for November

November 2025 SASSA Grant Boost: Updated Payment Amounts Revealed

SASSA will increase social grants twice in 2025. The first increase starts in April and the second one in August. Here are the new monthly payments:

– Old Age Grant – Ages 60-74 will get R2,315 instead of R2,190 – Ages 75+ will get R2,335 instead of R2,210

– People with disabilities will now receive R2,315 up from R2190.

– The Care Dependency Grant also goes up to R2,315 from R2190.

– Parents will get R560 for each child instead of R530 through the Child Support Grant.

– Foster parents will receive R1,250 per child.

The Grant-in-Aid is now R560 which is R30 more than before. The SRD Grant stays at R370 which is R20 more than last year. This amount might go up to between R420 and R500 later. These changes will help over 19 million people buy food and pay bills during this time when prices are going up by 5.2% overall and food costs are rising by 6.1%.

Complete SASSA Grant Payment Schedule for November 2025

SASSA has announced the August 2025 payment schedule to make things easier for everyone. Here’s when you can get your money:

– Old Age Grant will be paid on August 5

– Disability Grant will be paid on August 6

– All Children’s Grants will be paid on August 7

– The SRD Grant will be paid between August 16 and 29.

– Check srd.sassa.gov.za for your exact date and you’ll get an SMS.

How to Make Sure You Receive Your Full SASSA Payment on Time

You need to check your bank details & phone number to get your payments on time. You can do this on the SASSA website at srd.sassa.gov.za or send a text to 32555. Don’t forget to update your address and marriage status too. This helps SASSA send your money faster. Keep your PIN and personal info safe to avoid fraud. SASSA wants you to use Postbank black cards and ATMs for payments. The black cards will replace the old gold cards in March 2025. This is the safest way to get your money.
